The Hanuscin Family of Porac

 

According to 1869 census there were many Hanuscin families in Porac.  They lived in houses of  No. 18, 19, 20, 32, 60, 78, 100, 113, 133. Therefore in some parish records the name was changed to Hanuscak   after 1850's .  Here are listed descendants  of  house  No. 18  that 1869 census  record you have read.

 

The fate of  Stefan Hanuscin's  family  is common for many Porac families.  Some members moved out to America at the turn of century.

 

                                                               First generation

 

 1. Georgius Hanuscin   was married 14.November 1813 to Maria Vansac . According  1869 census  Maria was born about 1790 , died 2.December 1874.

Eva, Adam  (3,4)  -  Born 22.November 1817

Georgius ( 5)       -   Born 24. March 1824. Died 19.December 1882.

Martha    ( 6)       -   Born  7. July 1830

                                               Second generation

 

5. Georgius   , son of  Georgius Hanuscin and Maria Vansac, was  married 30. October 1843 to Helena Zavacan. Helena, daughter of Jacobus Zavacan, came from Koterbach.  Wittnesses were Joannes Hanuscin and Petrus Zavacan.

 

Children :

              Stephanus  (8)    -   Born  28.July 1845 . Died 16.July 1886. Godparents were Josephus  Stecz, Sophia  Hamjak.

              Maria        (9)   -   Born 14. April 1849

              Georgius (10)   -   Born 27. April 1851.

              Sophia    (11)    -   Born 26. March 1854

              Helena    (12)    -   Born 26. April 1856

          Josephus (13)    -   Born 23. March 1858

              Mathias  (14)    -   Born 9. March 1860

              Michael   (15)   -   Born 19. Novenber 1861.  Died before 1863.

              Michael   (16)   -   Born  26. October 1863.  Died 17. February 1920.

 8. Stephanus , son of Georgius  Hanuscin and Helena Zavacan,  was married 22. February 1869 to Maria  Voytilla. Wittnesses were Michael Hanuscin and Mathias Shirilla.   Maria, daughter of Mathias Voytilla and Maria Geletka, was born 23. December 1849. 

 

Children :

             Stephanus  (17)   -   Born 30.October 1869. Godparents were Joannes Vrabely, Anna Midlik.

             Joannes      (18)   -   Born 6. September 1872. He married Knapp.

             Michael     (19)   -   Born 5. August 1875. Died 20. January 1877.

             Helena       (20)   -   Born  15. April 1877 . Died  before 1884.

             Josephus    (21)   -   Born 27. February 1879.  He lived in Pennsylvania.

             Michael     (22)   -   Born 28. October 1880. Died 26.October 1881.

             Georgius    (23)   -   Born 29. January 1882.

              Helena      (24)   -   Born 17.May 1884. She married Knapp. She died in New York.

 

                All of them moved out to America.

 

 

 

 

 

                                                               Fourth generation

 

 17. Stephanus , son of Stephanus Hanuscin and Maria Voytilla, was married 9.January 1895 in Bridgeport  to Maria Vrabely . Wittnesses were Michael Makara ans Michael Krafcik.  Maria, daughter of Josephus Vrabely and Maria Purda, was born 11. Jun 1873 and died 23. December 1943 in Porac. Stephanus  was a joiner, he died in New York.

 

Children :

                Stephanus  (25)     -  Born 12. September 1897 in Stamford. He returned as 6 years old to Porac.                                                                                                          

              Helena       (26)     -  Born 17. March 1903 in New York. She returned as a child to Porac.

                                                               She married to Nicolaus Bakoss.

              Maria         (27)     -  Born in U.S. , year unknown. She returned as a child to Porac and  as an  adult  she moved out to U.S.  She was single.  

 

                                                               Fifth generation

 

25. Stephanus  , son of  Stephanus  Hanuscin and Maria Vrabely, was married 3. Jun 1917 to Helena Hardon. Wittnesses were Demetrius Pocatko and Michael Voytilla. Helena , daughter of Laurentius Hardon and  Maria Duboss, was born 27. November 1898. Godparents were Stefan Shirilla and Maria Shirilla ( born Kaffan). He moved out to Canada in 1927. He died in Vancouver about 1944.

               Jan          (28)     -   Born 19. January 1918.

               Maria      (29)     -   Born 27. August  1920

               Stefan     (30)     -    Born 7. November 1924. Godparents were Joseph Dubos and Maria Dubos.

28. Jan , son of Stephanus Hanuscin and Helena Hardon,  was married  17. May 1943 to Maria  Volcko.

 

Children :

               Vladimir  (31)    -   Born  15. August 1946

               Nadezda  (32)    -   Born  1. October  1948  

               

29. Maria , daughter of  Stephanus Hanuscin and Helena Hardon,  was married 20. July 1939 to Joanes Franko.  He was a priest in Porac for  51 years.

 

30. Stefan, son of  Stephanus Hanuscin and Helena Hardon, was married  19.February 1955 to Maria Miskiv.  Maria, daughter of Michal Miskiv and Helena Barila , was born 7. August 1935.  Stefan  Hanuscin is a member of society  of  Slovak writers. He published several books.

                Juraj       (35)   -    Born 23. May 1958

 

 

                                                               Seventh generation

 

33. Stefan , son of  Stefan Hanuscin and Maria Miskiv, was 18.September 1981 married to Milada Racka.

 

Children :

                  Ondrej  (37)   -   Born  21.October 1985

               

34. Katarina, daughter of Stefan Hanuscin and Maria Miskiv, was married to Alexander Sulin.

 

35. Juraj , son of  Stefan Hanuscin and Maria Miskiv, was married to Lenka Skurka. He died 14. December 1994  at the age of 36 years old after a long  illness.  He is burried in Bardejov. Before his  death he published a book   " Last but one station ".
